Flimsey 5 is done and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. It is from Bonnie Hunter's pattern Bricks & Stepping Stones. This is going to a resident at a local nursing home. The lady receiving it uses a wheelchair that is like a huge blue armchair, hence the use of blues in this quilt. Hope she likes it :)
I've also made progress on Flimsey 6. The centre blocks are done and I love how using the assorted squares makes the background more interesting. Now it needs the borders ...
(PS: There was a lack of natural light for this picture so the colours are 'off'. Will try and do better next time.)

One done, and it should be well received and a new canvas! How fun!
ReplyDeleteit is so pretty, the black and white checks make it pop. She is going to love it.
ReplyDeleteWell I've never given a quilt to an older person that just didn't rave about the gift and thoughtfulness......how sweet of you!
ReplyDeleteNow I have had the reaction from a young person that said " What am I suppose to do with it?"
Now I make sure my efforts are appreciated and I'm more selective as to who gets my creations :0).
Keep up the good work!
Happy Sewing
I never tire of the bricks and stepping stones pattern. Every time you change the colors you get a new look.
