I've finished the pink charm square quilt started just before new year. It is based on a free pattern by Elizabeth Hartman called "Charm Squares Baby Quilt". I up-sized it to lap-sized and took out one of the pieced rows to allow me to quilt a name.
The quilting was inspired by Angela Walters' Craftsy class and book. Those pebbles take ages to do, but they produce wonderful texture!
More Seafoam (as previously seen on my Barrister's quilt) and Figure 8s, together with Brackets and Wishbone make up the rest of the quilting. It's such a simple patchwork design, but I think I've made it special with the quilting. This finishes approx 39" x 51" and is for a very special lady in the Care Home where I volunteer who has just celebrated her 100th birthday :)
beautiful - I bet she loves it!

ReplyDeleteThat quilting sure does make it special. It's amazing
ReplyDeleteI love your quilting! I looked up that pattern and then remembered I have it printed out to use with some charms. I'll be coming back to this to get ideas when I'm ready to quilt. You are just Wowing us with your new skills!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colours and the quilting on white is so clever.
