I'm working on a quilt from the
Craftsy course "Inspired Modern Quilts" by Elizabeth Hartman. I've never done a Low Volume quilt before and I don't have all the beautiful modern grey tones that are used for the demo quilt. I need to use up more of the fabrics I have here rather than go shopping, so I decided to use lots of neutral fabrics with a bright Kona Carrot contrast. Here's one block sewn together ...

... and the rest in piles waiting for assembly. Despite being really careful when creating my piles, I still have to check that I haven't messed up and used two fabrics the same in a block when I come to stitching it together:)
Nice! Love the bright orange contrast with the neutrals. The orange kinda makes some of the neutrals peachy. Should be pretty!
ReplyDeleteHelen, you and I must be kindred spirits. I've taken this Craftsy course too, and I also love Angela Walters quilting. Love the straight line quilting in the corners of your green quilt (previous post?)

Your blocks are coming together nicely. That bright orange is perfect!
