New string quilt ...

Having taken a break from quilting for the duration of the scenic stamping course, my fabrics are now calling me back!  I saw some great blocks on Vic's blog called Herringbone blocks - an oblong block with strips sewn on diagonally.  The original tutorial was by Stitched in Color, but had altered a bit as it travelled around the net.  I'm going to make my own version, altering it again to use up strings with some Kona Orchid solid!  Here's the pile of fabrics I pulled ready for the off .... :)
