Four Patch Finished.
Here it is done. The colour scheme came from a backing fabric I wanted to use up. The four patches were all made with charm squares that were swapped many years ago with an online group. When I was planning the quilt in EQ6 I wanted to brighten it up with some orange pinwheels, so I staggered them across the design and some of the triangles merged to form the elongated diamonds. So I thought I would extend them outwards as well and make them into windmills!
The quilting on this one was done with a golden yellow King Tut thread using a mixture of straight lines and herringbone. Originally I only had one line of straight stitches on the diagonals, but it looked a little 'mean', so I upped it to three lines, which I like much better :)
